3. Taj Mahal - Agra, Uttar Pradesh

Agra is a small city in northern India and is situated 225 km from the capital of India, New Delhi. The city is famous for the Taj Mahal, which was built by the great Mughal emperor Shah Jahan when the love of his life i.e. his wife Mumtaz died during childbirth. Their love was so intense that they completely built a mausoleum on Mumtaz’s tomb.

5. Sun Temple - Modhera, Gujarat

It was constructed after 1026-27 AD during the reign of Bhima I of the Chaulukya dynasty. No worship is done now and the monument is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India. The temple complex has three components: Gudhamandapa, Dharmasthala; Sabhamandapa, Sabha Bhawan and Kund, Reservoir.

6. Mount Abu - Rajasthan

Guru Shikhar is the highest point in Mount Abu and forms the highest point in the Aravalli mountain range. The place is perfect for getting a panoramic view of the entire region and is famous for the temple of Guru Dattatreya which has ‘Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva’, the incarnations of Hindu deities in one.

7. Kashmir Hills - jammu and Kashmir

The major festivals celebrated here are the Nag Panchami festival and Lohri. The best time to visit the place is from May to June, September to October and December to March is the best time to enjoy snowboard. There are bus and private taxi services to the hill station from Jammu, Katra and Udhampur. The nearest airport to the hill station is Jammu.

8. Jamma Masjid - Agra, Uttar Pradesh

Jama Masjid is one of the largest mosques built by the Mughals in India. 1648 AD in this mosque. Has a rectangular open forecourt built by Shah Jahan’s daughter Jahanara Begum. The architecture of this monument is beautifully mimicked by Iranian architecture and is built using red sandstone and white marble. The construction of Jama Masjid required some 5,000 workers and was completed in a period of 6 years.

9. Shivneri Fort - Pune, Maharashtra

Shivneri is a hill fort located Tourist Place in the northern part of Pune district and at its base was the birth place of Junnar Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Even though the fort has succumbed to the ravages brought by time and weather, its structural style is worth a study. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born in 1925 and is known as Shiva Temple India.

10. Rani Ki Vav - Patan, Gujarat
